Hi there.

can anyone recommend a specialist dyslexia/ complex SEN school in or near the midlands area? Looking for my 14 year old girl. Thanks.

Depending on where you are Bredon may be within travelling distance.

Thanks. We tried Bredon but she refused to go in. just wandered if there was anything else similar to Frewen College anywhere in the midlands area.

You could investigate Maple Hayes Hall School near Lichfield (specialist dyslexia) or New Elizabethan School near Kidderminster (primarily for pupils with an ASC but used to have some pupils with dyslexia). The latter did have quite a few pupils with challenging behaviour but I am talking ten years ago & different headteacher so may have changed. Both take both boys and girls. There is a new SEN school just opened up I believe in Walsall (Bescot Hall School, Witherslack group) which again looks as if they will cater for a range of SEN including dyslexia.
