Northern House School, Oxford

DS is currently at home following a permanent exclusion from primary school (Yr5) - he's having LEA tutors for 10 hours a week. His diagnosis is ADD, ODD and autistic traits.

We've been advised that the best option for him is Northern house School in Oxford which means he has to have a statement - and the LEA are keeping him with the home tutors till that's all done which will be at least another two months, he's been home for two already and is bored stupid.

The school is, I think, more of an EBSD than an ADD specialst one .... I'm really concerned both about how he'll cope there and about how it does academically as, for all his problems, DS is a really bright boy, performing well above average for his age in many subjects.

Does anyone have any experience of this school?
