£3000 for Educational Psychology Assessment?

I have been quoted just under £3000 for educational psychology. From Google this seems much higher than typical - hourly rate is typical it is the number of hours that seems very high.
if anyone has paid for a private assessment for their child recently would they mind sharing the hourly cost and number of hours that was charged?

It is on the high side, you can certainly get cheaper, but isn’t unheard of. The price of EP assessments varies greatly depending on how comprehensive the assessment is/how complex the case is/the experience of the EP/whether it is for a tribunal…

Does that include anything like attending a hearing as an expert witness or is it just the cost of an asessment?

No - it’s just the cost of the assessment and report. we are not trying to get an EHCP and don’t need anything for tribunals

Have had a nationally well regarded EP do tribunal quality assessment of a previously unassessed child for a grand less.
