My DS had his SEN assesment today and was observed by the lead SENCO at his pre school. Received an email today to say they will engage him in small group activities but they do not feel any further referrals are needed.
Is this it? Can I relax? Anyone had this and there DC still has ASD and another assesment was needed at a later date?
Concerns were that his is a bit more advanced then his peers, retreats during group activities, uses commentary language and prefers adults.
Are these assesments done as a precautionary measure now?
