Hi all
so I applied for EHCP for DS9 and they’ve said they will assess DS in school.
We’ve now been contacted by social services to ask if we want a Social Care Needs Assessment completed predominantly during one telephone/virtual call. It looks at:
· Physical and mental health
· Education and interests
· Emotional and behavioural development
· Role of extended family and friends
· Housing, income and employment
My initial response is we don’t want to involve social services unnecessarily. DS is happy, healthy but has high functioning autism.
Can anyone who has been down this route offer thoughts/ advice please? Thanks!
