Autism friendly restaurants and general coping strategies for noise

Inspired by another thread and my last experience on a train where I was approaching meltdown due to the noise a group of drunken adults were making. My Dd was the same although holding it together better than me. I had my hands firmly over my ears and didn't care about the weird looks we were getting.

First question is: is there a good resource for restaurants and places that are autism friendly?

Second question: please could you share coping strategies for loud environments that you can't escape from? We've hidden in toilets on crowded trains before now.

As I get older I'm finding my ability to cope with noise and people in general diminishing so any tips would be great fully appreciated.

Do you use noise cancelling headphones/ear defenders? Sensory OT is likely to help too.
