Can anyone advise on disability benefits for ds please?

We met with ds,3 senco last week and she advised she thinks he has autism, as do we. From an educational viewpoint it was quite damning to listen to.

She mentioned lots of things that would help him, some if which we already do, some of which we would love to do but they would be too much for us to fund regulary.

Can anyone advise what benefits we can apply for please? Is it pip?

If DS is under 16 it is DLA, rather than PIP, you can apply for. The Cerebra guide is helpful when completing the form.

Short breaks isn’t a benefit, it is provision provided by the LA to support DC/families.
