How long to hear back from Ed psychologist

How long does it normally take back to hear from one once an assessment has taken place? Ds who's 4 had one in school mid Nov but nothing back yet and just wondered if anyone can tell me how long it normally takes and how a report is presented? Thanks

Hi, the second EP who assessed, got in touch a day after they visited the setting. I think you should call or email them, as the first EP didn’t contact us for weeks, then emailed us with a draft of their report and then sent it to the council within 48 hours (not giving us enough time to discuss what was written).

I would chase it up too. Was the EP assessment part of an EHCNA? If so, are the LA sticking to the timescales?

Thank you both! It's frustrating and I was hoping for some information before Xmas too. I've sent an email to the school and chase up with la Monday if no response from them

There was no time scale sent. Teacher thinks he should have ehcp and ep wrote it down but that's all I know! So frustrating. Ds is very behind his peers at school and needs constant attention I'm desperate for some help for him

There was no time scale sent.

If it is part of the EHCNA process here are the statutory timescales.

I would contact the EP directly.
