Hi All,

My son has just recently been diagnosed with mild dyslexia (the average score for children of his age (10 years old) is between 85 - 115 and he scored 75, so his dyslexia is very mild) and I am aiming for him to go to school at Harrow Boys.

He mainly struggles with spelling words correctly and needs to take his time when reading so that he doesn’t miss our words.

I read online that, due to Harrow being an 'ISI' school, they don't have to comply with regulations around SEND students as other schools do, e.g. they don't have to accept a student that has SEND.

I just wanted to know:

• if anyone has a son or knows someone with SEND in Harrow?

• if so, what their experience is like and the support they receive from the SEND department at Harrow?
• if anyone knows of someone who wasn't accepted because of their SEN

My sons both went to Harrow and left in 2021. The younger one is dyslexic, dyspraxic and has ADHD all mildly but Harrows SEND we're amazing. He got so much support both directly and indirectly. It's a great school. Good luck to your son
