Schools in Hertfordshire for SEN/autism

Hello

DS has suspected autism and due to start school in 2 years. A bit early I’m sure but DH and I want to be prepared, so wondered if anyone had a child in a school in Hertfordshire which has been great support for their needs. Can be private or state as we are willing to move for the best option.

Hertfordshire is the pits for SEN unfortunately there are few special schools and often children go out of county. Private schools unless specialist are not set up or don’t want SEN unless you can fund the extra help yourselves. The nearest specialist independent is Gretton in Cambridgeshire but you will probably need to go to tribunal to secure funding for it. If you haven’t already apply for an Ehcp as soon as you can.
