The Dominie School or Fairley House?

Would hugely appreciate any views and guidance on either of these schools. We are considering a future move for our daughter - the hitch is that she is deliriously happy at her current prep, but falling behind faster with each term. We want to catch her before it hits her confidence but still not totally sure on what to do. She has an EHCP, and we are treating her as if she has dyslexia and dyscalculia. Our EP recommended The Dominie and we wondered if it was because there were more girls there than Fairley House. I would love to hear about any experiences at either school and how you made that decision. Appreciate your answers!

Hi there
The Dominie School has closed down, I believe?
FHS could be a good fit - she would need to do assessment days which involve formal assessments with different professionals and then joining lessons so see if it could be a good fit socially and academically. The number of girls varies between year groups, in some it is more or less equal to the boys.
Can I ask what the EHCP is for, if she does not already have a diagnosis of SpLDs?

Thanks so much for your reply, I hadn’t seen that news about The Dominie, I guess that makes any decisions easier! We’re yet to get a formal report on dyslexia etc but she has a known genetic developmental disorder which shows up in quite a few ways with her learning. I imagine FHS could really help us if we decide to make the leap, thank you for the reassurance.
