New to this - dual diagnosis

DS (8) received his private assessment results today (it was difficult but not unexpected reading). I thought adhd but was surprised about the autism diagnosis. He scored top 10% of children in his cognitive assessment. Now what? He struggles with friendships and is underachieving at school. What do I do next?

It isn’t uncommon to have comorbid ADHD and ASD.

Is DS receiving any support at school? If you don’t think his needs are being met you can apply for an EHCP - IPSEA have a model letter you can use.
