As my title suggests, I'm trying to do some research to get a wider understanding of the support made available for children in education with print disabilities, that includes but isn't limited to dyslexia, and autism.
Can I ask what support/ reasonable adjustments your child is given in schools?
Did you have to have an official diagnosis and EP report before support was given?
Is there anything you feel could be done in addition that would help your child?
Did this help/support get better or worse during the pandemic?
This is for a talk I am giving, if there is anything you are concerned about being printed in papers etc I would welcome a direct message but for full transparency the talk is around support children get in mainstream schools, what if anything in the pandemic made it better or worse and more importantly what lessons can we take moving forward to improve the situation.
