What information should a senco keep on my child?

There has been a history of noncommunication from the senco. No meetings or plans have ever been shared. Although I am told dc is on the sen register. I now have to approach other schools for my child and put in a dsar to the senco asking for dc’s sen file.
I have received copies of external providers (much of which I provided!) reports but not any thing internal to the school:

  • targets
  • learning plans
  • ieps (or whatever was meant to replace them)
  • chronology of interventions
  • internal notes on sen provision for dc
  • correspondence with external providers

What should I expect to see on A sen file? It looks to me like they haven’t been doing anything.

Grateful for any thoughts.

That doesn't sound good. There should certainly be written records of interventions, and there should have been regular review meetings with you.
