Hi

Our 16 yo DD is soon going to be assessed for ASD.

What reading would you recommend to help us understand more and support her better, specifically for teenagers.

Thanks a lot

I’ve just read ‘A Kind of Spark’ by Elle McNicoll and would highly recommend. It’s young adult novel written by an author with ASD. I thought it gave a great insight into what it’s like for some girls. It’s quite uplifting as well with a focus on appreciating the person with ASD for who they are, as well as doing thing to support them.
