Independent school with SEN support in SW and surrey

Hi,

My daughter was premature and we saw developmental delays associated with that. She goes to an nursery in Hampstead and with the Senco we were able to secure EHCP for her which states 1:1 LA and SLT OT therapy provision. All her therapists and school think she will do ok in mainstream school with good SEN provision and due to start reception this September.

We are planning to move from central london to SW london or surrey but i don't know where to start. Main goal is to find a good independent or state school with good SEN provision. We are open to move anywhere for the right kind of school.

Thanks everyone.

I can't help with school suggestions, but be aware if you move LA the EHCP will be reviewed, reassessed or potentially ceased.

Looking for a nurturing independent school in Surrey or W.Sussex for son with mild dyslexia, any suggestions? Great drama would be a plus. Any experience of Cranleigh, Charterhouse, Bradfield or Seaford College?

Most state primary schools within the Twickenham/Richmond/Kingston area are pretty good for SEN. For secondary, maybe Canbury in Kingston?

@Chinagirl747 Have you looked at The Royal School, Haslemere?

Seaford College always used to have a good rep for SEN. I hear they seem to pick and choose the children they take, rejecting some due to specific SEN needs so I'd advise you to discuss needs in full.

No I haven’t will have a look. Seaford looks promising. Any views on Charterhouse or Cranleigh?
