ASD and poor GCSE results

Everywhere I look everyone seems to have aced their GCSEs. DD didn't do too badly - not as well as we expected , but came out with 4 GCSEs. She has high functioning autism and i think she would have got it together for the exams, despite the extreme stress. I feel bad for her. Social media is full of good news stories of friends and I know she will feel left behind at college doing resits whilst her friends are doing A levels . I also know that A levels are not for her- she will really struggle and want her her to go down the Diploma route- my other DD did this and did well.
She knows her own mind! I'm struggling with how to approach these decisions with her and how best to help. Any good news SEN stories around ?! I am looking for reassurance I suppose !
