Hi
My son (7yrs, going into yr 2) has an EHCP - he has ASD and learning difficulties. We are considering moving home to Ireland, but I worry about his ability to access support in Irish schools, and how he would find doing 'Gaelige'!
any advice or thoughts from Irish mums netters please?

From the point of view of learning Irish - if he has ASD and learning difficulties he should be able to get an exemption from studying the subject. Granting an exemption is the remit of school management now, I believe, though I think this is a fairly recent change. The guidelines state the exemption should be given in second class (aged about 8) for a child with learning difficulties afaik.
