DS has had both his appointments now
OT was as SEA said, som jumping, throwing, balancing, drawing , cutting, and looking at shapes to see what was the odd one out.
she was happy to discharge him there and then.. no perceptual issues, or dyspraxia. Also, he has some hypermobility, but does not seem to affect his fine motor skills. Interestingly, DD is very bendy, she can almost do the split, and she is 2 ! she can fold herself in half and wrap her legs round her ears !!! maybe their is a future for her as a yoga teacher
SALT - slightly more concerned, he seems to have some issues with short term memory and word recall, in fact, i was a bit at how much he seemed to struggle with some of the tests.
SALT is going to see him again in 2 months, and in the meantime, send some worksheets home for us to do, to help with his memory.
She feels it could be symptomatic of dyslexia, and there is certainly some learning issue there.
so will wait to see what happens.
