If you are a dyslexia specialist, how would you support a child in secondary school? What would you expect to see happening, especially if the child has an EHCP?

Im not specialized in Dyslexia but it would be very much tailored to the individual child. EHCP are reviewed annually so there would be recommendations within that plan.
Things such a coloured overlays, extra time for exams, specialized equipment for reading and writing, where the child will sit in class to ease any anxiety that type of thing. Selected mentor for the child or a teaching assistant.

Hi mums,
Thanks for replying. All of those things are in the EHCP. I am more interested in how a dyslexia specialist would teach a one to one lesson, which is also specified in the plan. Also, how a TA would support.
