Dyslexia - how can I help my 8 year old?

Can anyone suggest anything that helped their dyslexic child? I am desperate to help my poor struggling child.

How did he learn to read? Have you been through the Jolly Phonics books?

We are working through Toe by Toe reading scheme for dyslexics which is hard work but is helping her. But this is all I am doing and it doesn't seem nearly enough. Just feel that I am failing her.
