after a lot of years there is a strong possibility that my marriage is about to end - however we have a DS who is an adult but will never live independently due to MLD/ASD.

My question though is legally can a contact order be enforced on for an adult DS? I know that 'D'H will want to spend time with DS as he is a good father, but I'm worried that it will be on his terms rather than something that is set in stone as with younger DC

Does your daughter have a care plan in place? I think these issues will primarily be governed by that.
