Occupational health for child what to expect

Apologies if I posted in wrong topic. I’ve posted in children’s health but had no response.

DS (9) and has been referred to Occupational Health through SENCO at school.

We’ve now got the letter to make an appointment but there’s not much info on what to expect.

Anybody have any experience of OT?

For a bit of background DS is left handed and struggles with writing if doing it for any length of time. I’ve had a chat with the SENCo and she detailed this and some issues he has in sport/PE.

We’ve been told that the appointment could be at the centre, school or home but we don’t know which would be best.

Do you mean Occupational Therapy?
OTs can assess and give advice on lots of things. She will observe your son and may suggest equipment which will help with any difficulties he may have.
