Looking for private specialist tutor for dyslexic yr 6 son

DS who is 11yo has dyslexia, poor working memory, processing issues, etc etc. We are looking for someone with real specialist experience to provide private tuition. His school is supportive but they are not providing any real strategies for managing his work. I’m looking for someone who could, say, sit down with him and his science homework and say, ok - here’s how you approach this. Any recommendations of specific people or agencies would be greatly appreciated!

We found our daughter's dyslexia tutor here. It allows you to search in your area for specialist dyslexia tutors. Hope that helps.

Thanks for this link - I’m in a similar boat.

Where are you OP? You’re looking at £40-50/hour.
I would contact the British Dyslexia Association or Helen Arkell.
In the mean time, I would highly recommend trying Nessy. It is a proven method to help dyslexic children learn to read and spell using fun strategies.

Our tutor is £25 an hour but we're in the North. Prices might differ depending on where you are.
