We are really keen to get into a local Christian school. We live next to it but we are sikh so admission isn't guaranteed. Our little one is due to start in September 2017. Our current private nusery wrote a report and refered is to NHS regarding the LO delayed speech . We had a initial screening the senco and they said they said the speech is a issue and they will do further sessions.

I noticed the admissions say you basically get a place if you have special needs. So would showing this report do the trick?

Do you mean September 2018? The Sept 2017 term has already started.
it may do. It depends on whether the admissions policy says the child must have special needs which cannot be met at another school or whether it means the child must have an ECHP.
It is certainly worth a try.
