My DD1 has ASD and has been supported by a 1:1 TA since reception at her small mainstream primary. We live in central London. She is about to go into year 5 and I am starting to think about secondary schools. She has an EHCP but incase we ever lose it we have been doing the church attendance business to try to ensure we could meet as many school criteria as we might need to. Does anyone have any tips to share of mainstream secondary schools which have a kind and 'can do' approach to SEN. A school which 'gets' autism. DD1 is average academically. Her behaviour isn't disruptive but she needs quite a bit of pastoral support on the social side.
