Hi all,

I am aware many members of mumsnet and their children have been affected by the sudden closure of Dyslexia Action. I sympathize with you all. I have worked for Dyslexia Action for the past 16 years as a psychologist and more recently a tutor, and the news was both shocking and devastating.

However there is hope on the horizon! A group of ex-Dyslexia Action consultants, psychologists and tutors have started up offering very similar services in the West Midlands and surrounding areas (Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire). Please visit one of these websites for more information:

dyslexia-action.com

senconsultancy.uk

dyslexiawarwickshire.co.uk

For other areas of country, there is a list of ex-Dyslexia Action psychologists on Facebook

Dyslexia Action Psychologists

The services listed in all of these sites are provided by highly qualified and experienced professionals. I hope this helps people who have been left in the 'lurch' following the demise of Dyslexia Action, as well as people who are considering assessment/tuition for the first time

Dawn

Hi my blog this month has just been uploaded by the British Dyslexia Association (BDA). It is about the role played by parents in their dyslexic children's success in later life. bdadyslexiablog.wordpress.com/2017/04/24/parental-support/
