Hello
I know there are a couple of Farleigh threads on the boards but they are a few years old now and I wondered if anyone has recent experience of this College. Considering it for 18 yr old ASD DS currently at independent special school. Thanks for any help !

Hello,
My 16-year-old daughter has just started at Farleigh - after a couple of trial weeks back in June. So far, so good and obviously we think it looks great or we wouldn't have fought tooth and nail to get her there. We just wish it was nearer home (London), but it seems there are other students making that and some even longer journeys to attend. There is so little out there for young women with Aspergers and related difficulties. Have you been to visit yet? Good luck with finding somewhere for your child.

Hi there
Thanks for replying. Hope all going well for your daughter. Went to open day at Farleigh this week - all looks and sounds great. The set up seems very similar to where my son currently is, so hoping that he will be accepting of it when he goes to visit - change is such an issue ! In my experience there is less choice for young women on the spectrum than for teenage boys but I think that there is more available now than when we were looking for a year 7 placement almost 10 yrs ago - most of the schools we looked at then were boys only. Now a few are co-ed. I would be really interested in how you find Farleigh over the next few months - good and bad ! Keeping fingers crossed it is good for your daughter.
