Does any parent with a SEN child have any experience with GP Infant school. DS just started at reception, he was diagnosed with Autism over a year ago and we felt he wasn't equipped to handle nursery, so we have no experience with sending him off without us, GP wasn't our first choice but LA advised that he would have an easier time as they were better equipped to deal with SEN then our first choice. We've met his teacher, who seems lovely and we got to meet with the head of senco, who told us that DS was going to meet with a speech and language therapist once a week, felt slightly better about the school but then we met the headteacher who just seemed uninterested with DS' needs and more concerned on how he would effect the other children in class, so that's left me slightly worried, so does anyone have a SEN child at the school or any experience with the school? That could tell me if I should be worried about DS attending the school?
