My DS has sen issues and is about to start KS3 he's a visual learner and I'm looking for tools & strategies. Came across these Oaka books that look good has anyone tried them? Or have any other suggestions?

You need to be aware that the VAK model of identifying students by learning type is discredited and schools should no longer be using it.

Hummm... while teachers might be encouraged to not pigeon-hole pupils into a specific learning style, the fact remains that we all like to learn in different ways. Let's face it most of us are visual learners - when you think about a shopping list for example, most of us see an image of the product we want, not the name written down. If teachers do not think about learning styles then we are back to the old one size fits all which we know it does not. I would go images every time for my dyslexic daughter and it has worked a treat!
