I have a 6 year old who is repeatedly in trouble. He often engaged in rough play at school where he has sometimes hurt other children. He is also recently not listening and concentrating in class and distracting others. We have received numerous complaints from the school and I am very anxious that he may actually be asked to leave the school (he goes to a private school). I would like to have an assessment for ADHD for him (he concentrates well at home, for example can do test papers for 7+ exams by sitting independently for up to 20 - 30 minuntes, with ocassional day dreaming). However at this stage I don't want to raise 'adhd' with the school given its a private school with little sen support. Can anyone recommend a private assessment in London? I am not even sure where to start? Would it be an education psychologist, psychiatrist or developmental paedatrician? Thank you.
