My daughter has asd and has a statement of special educational needs. She is 11 yrs old and currently only in school 2hrs a day due to no school space being available
Her case went to panel on the 19 th for a specialist school placement ( secondary school)
I've heard nothing.
I've rung and left various messages and was promised an answer from her Sen worker....nothing
Others cannot reach her either
I am fearing the worse and feel sick with worry that after all this she still won't get her placement
I've got several people who work with my daughter trying to contact her for the outcome.
So far no luck
Has anyone else been left this long and got a positive outcome or is it because it's bad she's avoiding us....and yes she would do this.
I'm shaking writing this I just want an appropriate school placement for my special big girl like every other child gets!!
Please...if anyone can keep me positive I would really appreciate it

Hi, why don't you phone IPSEA for advice, they would be able to tell you about the timeframe for panel decisions. I wouldn't waste my time with the case officer, I would go straight to the SEND team manager.
The board Special Needs: children is much busier...

Your daughter should as a minimum be provided with home tuition for around 15 hours a week. The council is acting unlawfully. If this isn't resolved very soon, phone IPSEA or SOS SEN, or specialist solicitors such as Maxwell Gillott.
