Hi
My first post here ...
My dd is nearly 7yrs & moderately dyslexic. I'm looking for a school that can give her the support she needs, ie daily help within the classroom and perhaps one to one 2 or 3 times weekly.
Anyone near Newcastle, would love to meet up. Feel like I'm the only one going through this.
Anyone with advise/experience of state or independent schools?
Many thanx

Two quick questions because I have to go soon

Does your daughter have a statement?
Are you looking at mainstream or special schools?

Ouryve, School have IEP in place. Looking for mainstream

Have been told today Durham High school has great support system in place for dyslexic children. Anyone aware of that?

Have heard good reports about Durham High. Local dyslexia support group www.dyslexianortheast.org/ - they should be able to give you advice - based at the Royal Grammar School Newcastle
