Those with a child with Dyslexia - siblings question

If you have a child with dyslexia, are their siblings also dyslexic? Or do you have one child with dyslexia and some without?

I am just having a moment of panic/worry/head spin, as DS 10 is dyslexic and DS2 who is 5 in Y1 is struggling with reading, getting great help & support froms school & I know it is early days etc etc. DS1 in Y10 is amazing and doing really well, so I don't have any worries as such, just know the difficulties. DS2 in Y1 can do things that his older brother could not and vice versa. I appreciate dyslexia is a wide spectrum too.

I was just wondering out loud.

ds2 is dyslexic, ds1 is the complete obvious & finds reading, writting etc a breeze. Not sure if we are typical though as ds2'S Dyslexia comes way downa list of dx due to brain damage

One Dyslexic child, one who struggles (I so busy being concerned he was dyslexic, I overlooked his younger sisters difficulties, and was when she was diagnoses. However, my eldest DC is the absolute opposite, and could remember how to spell a word after reading it once, and learned to read with ease. He however has Aspergers, and I'm not sure if there is any link or not.

Two of my DCs cousins are dyslexic, two are absolutely not.

My oldest DS 12 has dyslexia and it now appears that younger DS 7 has similar issues that are now emerging. Interestingly, there are striking differences in symptoms but results that are the same - terrible writing and spelling. DS1 never knew if he was left or right handed and could never do a jigsaw but was very verbally strong. DS2 was always right handed, is good at jigsaws but is more verbally dyslexic in that he mixes up words. Both can read but their phonic knowledge is poor. DS1 on 6th percentile for phonics and DS2 has just failed his Yr phonics test. Had a terrible deja vous at DS1's last parents' evening.
