Dyspraxia Success Story (and shameless brag!)

DS1 was diagnosed as dyspraxic when he was about 8, now 17 and in sixth form college - a very competitive college where he gained a place after getting a handful of A* and A at gsce (we wont mention the c's in the written subjects Grin )

He's just been at a reunion night at his high school and been presented with a certificate for being top in science for the year - am unbeleivably proud and just wanted to show those who are maybe struggling with new diagnosis that there is light at the end of the tunnel! (will make sure I remind myself of that since the other two are struggling with similar issues)

Thanks for that, it's good to read good outcomes.

Congrats to your DS and to you for all the support I expect you have given him too!

that's so nice to read - have a dyspraxic 8 year old and sometimes wonder if he'll ever get on at school!

It's good to here some positive results for once. They have just confirmed my son (13) has got dyspraxia today after years of battling with the schools.

Waiting for our first OT appt in December.

Fingers x

Inspiring. My son 9, has NDD and sometimes I am beside myself with worry especially after Spl Ed said he will never be able to handle Secondary School let alone GCSE.

Your post gives me hope.
