Has anyone had an audiology and\or Educational pyschology assessment at this centre. How did you feel about it? How detailed was the information you got?
I am considering my DD having an assessment there.

Sorry I have no information personally but if you go onto the National Deaf Children's website and go to Parent Place and put Burwood in their search engine there are a number of positive comments.www.ndcs.org.uk/applications/discussion/
I too have a deaf DC and was impressed to see an assessment centre that did a variety of assessments all at the same location. My only question would be does their educational psychologist's assessment differ from an ordinary one. I only ask as the fee is very low and I just wondered whether it included all the usual tests. Equally the assessment centre is part of a foundation so maybe this helps to lower costs.
Hope you get some more replies.

The fee is lower than most as there is an educational charity that subsides the fees. I am interested that you feel it's low as the standard fee round here is £150 to 200.

Lizcat, you are very lucky to live in an area where an educational psychologist's assessment is £150 - 200. I have just googled costs (as my DC's last one was 4 years ago) a Dyslexic Action full assessment was £450 according to one Mother on Mumsnet last year.
As you say it is probably due to the fact that they have a charity that subsidies the costs.

Hi What assessment are you looking for audiology wise? You should have a local clinic that would provide the same.
