I want some recommendations for books, or documentaries to truly learn about Indian history. The fight for independence, post independence. Relationships with Bangladesh and Pakistan

Empire Podcast is very good. Start at episode 1 with East India company. There are over 300 episodes now so will need to scroll back to 1st episode. William Dalrymple and Anita Anand are brilliant and engaging and stick to known facts.
