Hello,

I have a 6 (almost) 7 month old baby and I'd like to start introducing desi foods to her.

How do I start and how can I give her desi dishes such as chicken curry?

She has a dairy allergy too.

Thanks

We didn’t give curry for a while but I found mixing it into paratha was the best way! Or dipping a roti in a curry works well

One regret was not introducing rice early enough

@Maloneyb would you say 7 months is too soon? My nephew was introduced to desi food on the later side and now he doesn't really like it. Ideally would like her to get used to it so was wondering what the best way to do it is x

Mine loved( and still do- ds2 is planning on living on it when he leaves home) plain dhal and rice. No chilli but I put the cumin, garam masala + turmeric but no salt.

@DramaLlamaBangBang thank you. Do you somewhat blend it or serve it as it is?

I mean, mine are 13 and16 now, but no, served it as it was. They can have a bit of texture in the rice, and the dhal is smooth.
