Where to shop for clothes in Delhi?

Hi. I’m going to North India on a tour and have maybe one afternoon free to shop. Have a family wedding later in the year so would like to buy some ready made outfits/accessories for myself and teenage daughter.

Is there a one stop shop (department store or mall) where I could find everything? I won’t have time to go into the markets or smaller shops and don’t want high end designer wear either (max £75/£100 per outfit). Any recommendations?

You could try going to frontier raas or ctc for budget friendly Indian wear.

We went to Rakesh Embroidery in Karol Bagh for material and they make the outfits your measurements. Have an idea of colours and types of outfits you want. I found it helpful to take a sample for measurements along too

Meena Bazaar for ready made, Biba & Fab India. All have stores in Delhi.

One afternoon will not be enough time.

Thanks for the replies. I went end of Feb and didn’t really have enough time in the end 😭

Sorry for piggybacking on this, any suggestions for clothing suitable for a cultural tour, I'm not Asian but want loose clothing that covers me as I burn plus several places state modest clothing required (I already own headscarves) loose trousers and tunics I'm thinking. I'd rather buy there then buy clothing in the U.K. often imported from India!

Hi there. I went on a tour also and I found this very useful https://www.intrepidtravel.com/adventures/what-to-take-to-india/

i found Uniqlo Airism range and Vinted best place to buy stuff. Depending on the region you are going I took 2/3 pairs of lightweight joggers, cotton cargo trousers and gym leggings then layered up with either a vest top with long sleeve cotton or linen shirt or a blouse. I then got a couple of long tunic (Kurta) tops there and wore over the gym leggings and scarf to cover where required. Comfort and fast drying fabrics are key (as are sturdy footwear).

If you want to pack efficiently for India, throw out all the rules you usually follow. Here's what you really need for a comfortable trip through the subcontinent.
