Do you do this?
I know for Christmas, people buy throughout the year whenever they see a bargain, or during the sales. I do this for Eid, but none of my family or friends do (well only my best friend)
I have a few weddings this year too, so I'm going to get things for wedding baskets as well.
I find just before Christmas is a great time to buy, because the shops are obviously full of toys, and gift sets etc.
