Non South Asian community

I'm interested in hearing from those of you know don't live in a South Asian area! My husband and I grew up in very multicultural areas, the good the bad and now the very ugly. We moved from that area a long time ago; now we live somewhere with pockets of South Asians but mainly white - a mixture of people. Our children are aware of their religion and culture but not lots. They go to a predominantly white school. The children are fine, the parents are fine but we just cannot meet like minded South Asians. I want them to meet other children that look like them, I don't know why.
Not to be snooty but some South Asians I have met just aren't my sort of people with different values.
Not sure what the point of this post is. I just miss the community to a point. I'd love to move one day, but the places I'd want to move to are just to the extreme, cost wise.

I live in an area where south asians are few and far between. It's lovely area to live in, lovely people, good school nice calm environment.
While i do wish that there were more same religious and same community people in school which my kids could grow up with and not feel odd ones out but our huge family makes up for it. We do see family like once in a week.
I understand when you say you can't meet like minded south asians. The only other south asian family i know of in our area are very modern in their beliefs by our standards so there isn't much of a friendship just formal hello hi!.
Hope you manage to move to an area which you like, I'd love to move some day too!!
