Unsure if I’m posting in correct topic, (correct me if I’m wrong) My baby about to turn 1 year old and I’m starting to worry she’s showing physical signs of sanfillipo syndrome seems to be hitting milestones never has slept through the night. Please let me know your opinions?

Has she got any other symptoms? I believe other signs of the syndrome are numerous ear infections and digestive problems? Her nose doesn't look as typical as pictures I've seen of children with the syndrome either but I am definitely not an expert x

Thanks for reply She’s 11 months she had her first ear infection this week and she’s got a dairy allergy so the digestive issues can be here or there depending on what she gets and I thought she had facial characteristics a larger head full lips and broad nose.

Hi! I came across this because I've also been worrying about this, your baby looks quite like mine tbh. But seeing your post has actually made me feel better because when I see your baby I think, she looks totally normal, this poor mum is in a health anxiety hole based off a tik tok.

When I think rationally about your situation 1 ear infection at 11 months is normal. Lots of babies have allergies. Lots of babies have genetically got a big head and since I've been obsessing over this myself I've been staring at every kid I knows nose and they are all pretty flat at this age. There were 83 cases of sanfilippo in the UK in a 10 year period. It's super super super rare.

My little boy has a huge head but it got checked a while back and my husband and I do too! Honestly I think so many kids could tick boxes on the list of many conditions! I've deleted tik tok now for my sanity because I have been diagnosing my son with everything! I'm not an expert in any way but your little girl looks typical to me x
