Hello everyone,
I won my appeal at tribunal yesterday for my son who is 7. Awarded DLA. He is undiagnosed and under a peadtrician with suspected asd adhd odd. He is yet to see them next month and also waiting for pyhscologist. He has been awarded middle care component with no mobility. However it was only awarded until March 2019 and she advised me to push for a diagnosis if I want to continue receiving and reapply in march.
It has been backdated from September last year. I'm just confused, what if I don't get a diagnosis and could I still claim or will I have to appeal again. Diagnosis taken so long due to schools reports been ok and seen as no problems apart from a letter from my year one teacher stating her concerns with change etc.
Also do I inform tax credits as someone said I could receive extra from them. I'm already in receipt of carers due to caring for my mother.
Any help or advice appreciate.
