Hi, I wanted to give a shout to all the mums out there that's inventing and creating solutions to solve their own problems. Myself, I invented a heated bra as I used heat daily when breastfeeding and struggeling with a low milk supply, and I've now made it into a business. I am looking for other mums or women in general, who's had a problem only to find out there's very little products to help them, so they made it or maybe you're thinking of making it? I've come to learn that many pregnancy/postpartum products and services was indeed invented by women.

Are there any groups for us ? To share ideas, learn from each other etc? If not.. in the spirit of this post, shall we make one?

Xx

Wow well done for creating! I'd love to create something but can't think of any ideas, just tend to make do! Would love to think of a solution to vaginal prolapse but sadly can't think of anything new!

Oooh! Have you patented it op!? Great idea for a thread!

I very seriously considered developing a reading learning tool for my sen child. We found the 'teach my monster to read' app good but not 'gamey' enough for my son and too easy to 'win' without learning. Lots of other tools were assuming some knowledge, used capital letters or were using letter names rather then phonics.

I had a whole story line roughed out, a bunny Indiana Jones 'discovered' each letter and the child needs to correctly identify letters/sounds in order to escape peril. The parent can control eg how many repetitions per letter to suit the abilities of the child. I even learned some coding.

My son is growing too fast however and it wouldn't be of use to him once development would be finished.

A long time ago I doctored our kitchen clock. Coloured in different colours for morning, afternoon and evening to teach those concepts.

only works if your child sleeps 12 hours at night though…
