Is your business getting busier for Christmas?

We run an art gallery and this is our second Christmas season. We are taking slightly more than last year which is good.

Do you run a seasonal business? If so when is your best time of year?

I run two businesses, one that is gift based, and one that is homewares based. Both are busier over November and December, and yes I have seen a significant increase for both. The first is still in it's infancy, just six months in, but it has a high street presence, whereas the homewares is very well established after 14 years trading online.

Other small retailers in our town are saying Sales are down in last year do we are pleased to be 10% up, albeit starting from a low base

Definitely down on last year and considerably down from 2019 (no point comparing to COVID years). I'm one of the lucky businesses who managed to keep going despite the challenges of the last four years. But overall, sales are increasing for Christmas spending.
