I run a small art gallery and am interested in finding out how others are getting on. Doesn't matter what you sell. We have been open just over a year

Yes I have a gift shop. Been open five months.

It sure will, and very stressful I'm sure as well because I have two businesses to run now 🤣

We don't do much online, but are planning this for next year

I've gone the opposite way round. Online retailer for nearly 14 years, but have expanded into bricks and mortar this year. I only stock UK made/designed products.

Interesting! I'm no huge fan of trying to sell online, it's more of a feeling that it's something we "should" do. Our artists tend to be local, and other products are UK made

I think an online presence is important, but it isn't for every business. It has worked for me for a long time, but I've taken a punt that high streets will experience a bit of a resurgence in the coming years. I may be wrong, but you don't know until you try. I'm very lucky to have a great town that is holding its own with independent stores and regular shoppers.
