Ideas for a market stall.

I need to earn more money. I have two children, eldest one is a teenager who has had some mental health issues. All settled now. These issues have meant I have totally stepped back at work, taken a lower level job as I need flexibility. We can move house and downsize in a year when youngest has finished gcses. In meantime I need to earn extra couple hundred each month. Any ideas, thought a market stall ?

Selling what?

Wouldn’t it be easier to get a job? A couple of hundred is only one day a week. A market stall will
involve renting the space, insurance, buying stock etc. and non guaranteed income.

Well what are you going to sell?

A market stall is bloody hard work in all seasons. You need to have somewhere to store your stock and something to transport it in. You have to lug it around, pack and unpack it. But you can make some money if you sell the right stuff.
Get to know the market you want to sell at, and what is already being sold there. No point selling jam if there are two other stalls selling jam.
My friend does a good trade with her market stall, she bakes and sells posh dog treats and dog biscuits. Her dog scotch eggs are a great seller.
