Hello
My partner has decided to start her own company doing beauty. It’s slow and not making much, however the council have already written to us to report on the space being used along with a floor plan.
i can’t seem to find anything about this online.
Can someone help?
Cheers

How could they know how much space is being used or have a floor plan unless someone has told them?

Oh hang on - or do you mean they are asking you for the information about the space and a floor plan.

Anyway, how come they knew she was running a business if she didn't tell them?

So is it producing the plan and floor areas you're struggling with? There could be one available on the planning website for the local council if she's working from an existing building like a shop etc. Or is she working from home?

Is she in separate premises? Maybe she qualifies for small business rate relief?

How much room in your home is she actually using for the business?

They will also take into account whether it is full-time or just a few hours a week.

No I have a floor plan. I couldn’t see anything in relation to what the costs could be
