I have worked as an office administrator since leaving school. Although I don't mind my work I really want to do something completely different. I like the thought of being a gardener but currently only know the basics. Can anyone recommend a course where I can learn whilst working? I thought I could just offer services that I know to start, cutting grass, weeding and as I learn expand my services? I'm not sure really, I've never done anything like this before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. J x

I don't know, but if you don't get any helpful advice on here maybe ask on the Gardening board? I've some vague memory of courses, maybe RHS ones, being discussed on there.

Hey! I'm doing this right now, going from PR to gardening. I study one day a week on the RHS Level 2 Practical Course at Capel Manor, and I'm also doing a two-day-a-week placement with the WFGA's WRAGs scheme from February. And I've started to pick up private clients. I have a blog to help other career changers and I wrote a bit early on about the different options available - hope it helps you crescentesempervivum.blogspot.com/2024/08/choosing-my-growing-medium.html
