Has Anyone Set Up Decluttering Business

This is an area that I am really Interested in.

I am currently a self employed cleaner which works out really well for me. I have regular weekly customers so have quite a good income coming in.

I would love to offer a service of de cluttering but need to do some research.
Like what exactly would it include, as in would I be responsible for getting rid of unwanted items, as in trips to the tips etc.
I am also interested in how others go about their de cluttering for customers, where do you start, what’s your routine etc.

Would live to chat with anyone with experience in this field.

Probably worth you knowing there's a professional association and training available.
I thought about using a declutterer when we moved, and only considered and contacted those registered with the association.

I follow Declutter Dollies (Dilly Carter) on Instagram and she runs trainings on setting up your own service. I've also paid someone to help declutter a family members house - I think we paid £400ish for the day, as well as paid for a skip for all the rubbish.

Personally what I was most grateful for was the lady who came having a fresh pair of eyes and challenging what was needed or not in a kind but firm way. I think when people need this service it's more mental/emotional issues making them want to hoard than just not having the time to sort everything (though that's how most advertise!) Having a professional guide a vulnerable family member through if she really needed 19 half filled notebooks was life-changing, as if I'd asked that question my head would've been bitten off!

Good point that @LittleRedRidingHoody makes that it's more mental/emotional than practical. In other words the work is as much related to therapy - or more - than it is to cleaning. In fact the only person I know who is a declutterer is also a therapist. I would guess much of the training is in the psychology side.
